Fulcrum Biometrics and IriTech have signed a reseller agreement that allows Fulcrum to sell IriTech’s compact, low-cost IriShield iris recognition scanner systems online. The device’s selling price starts at US$190.
IriShield is an compact, low-cost, ISO-compliant iris scanner system that makes implementation of biometric iris recognition technology both simple and affordable for use in a wide variety of applications, such as access control, time and attendance, point-of-sale, voter registration, population census and mobile banking systems.
Fulcrum Biometrics will offer the IriShield as either a complete USB desktop system or as an embedded module for use in portable devices like tablets and smart phones and other larger hardware systems such as entry gates.
Both IriShield systems include an auto-capture camera module, built-in iris recognition technology and an available PKI-based security infrastructure. Furthermore, IriShield runs on Android, Linux and Windows operating systems and supports both remote and on-board ISO-compliant compressed image generation and identification.
