IriTech joins FIDO Alliance

Fairfax, VA (April 29, 2014) – IriTech has announced today that it has joined the FIDO (Fast Identity Online) alliance to join on the mission to deliver open and scalable specifications for secure and interoperable authentication technologies. “Amid the recent credit card data breaches and Identity theft accidents, IriTech be lieves it will help solve the inefficiencies that users face with passwords and enhance security for various industries such as e-commerce, mobile banking and IoT.” Dr. Daniel Kim, CEO of IriTech commented. “Our main assumption for the widespread use of these technologies is ensured safety.”  

FIDO specifications support a wide range of authentication technologies, platforms and mobile devices to create a secure online ecosystem. IriTech will bring its expertise in iris recognition, server software platforms and developments of iris recognition enabled mobile devices to contribute to the alliance in further stepping forward with the initiative.

IriTech’s iris recognition cameras were the first and only to award the STQC certification by the Indian government for authentication devices in the UIDAI project, the largest biometrics program in the world at the moment.
